Device Reset and Elvis Communications Bypass

I'm trying to upgrade a DC motor control simulation from Labview 7.1 to Labview 8.6, and I'm having trouble with device communication. I can get the simulation to run once, but when I stop it and try to start again, nothing happens. Sometimes it gives a " -9334 ELVIS communication bypass.vi" error, even though the switch is still set to bypass and nothing has changed. Has anyone else worked with a problem like this?

Hello Asdfasdfasdf,

It sounds like a reference is being left open and when the second run of the program occurs the hardware is already reserved. What steps do you have to take to get the program to run correctly?

Getting the program to run again requires a full restart of the computer.
