Detection of GPIB port using instrument driver.vi

Hi

I require to link an impedence analyser using Labview and a Agilent 82350B PCI GPIB card. When I try to configurethe instrument assistant express vi in labview it only gives COM1 COM2 and LPT ports and not the GPIB port. Can some one shed some light on this. I have L.02.01.00 I O library for the GPIB card.

Thanks

My first guess would be that the LabVIEW is not seeing an Agilent product. National Instruments' MAX and other tools are really built to work with National Instruments' products, they don't have (nor can they be expected to) other manufacturer's hardware in the NI-DAQ, GPIB, etc. databases. I'm not sure what the L.02.01.00 library is, an Agilent library? Understand that Agilent also isn't particularly inclined to provide much support to users of LabVIEW, they have a product that has tried to compete in the same market as LabVIEW.

Hi

I have replaced the driver software with the new Agilant IO libraries suite 14.0. They say it can be used with the labview development enviornment. They further says that you have to install the NI IO library. What is NI IO library ( is it VISA?)
