DataSocket Communication

Gentlemen:

For a customer who uses your LabView system we must connect his LabView to our SCADA system running under LINUX. We need to get values of all process variables and send commands to some of them, e.g. switches (ON, OFF). Can you please advice us what we should use or tell us the structure of TCP/IP messages used in DataSocket communication.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards

Vaclav,

LabVIEW for Linux can send and receive DataSocket messages.  At this point there is no DataSocket Sever on Linux, but it does not sound like you need to run the server.

Vaclav,

You can either order LabVIEW for Linux from the National Instruments website, or contact a sales representative on the phone.  You can find more information, as well as a phone number to contact a sales representative on the following page.
