Data acquisition from two chassis

I have a SCXI-1000 set with a SCXI-1121 assembled to it. There is also a SCXI-1302 which is linked to the 1121 module by its back (using flat cables).

I am acquiring signals from Validynes using this 1302, and everything works fine without needing to turn the SCXI-1000 on.

I assembled a SCXI-1321 to the front of the SCXI-1121 to get sigals from strain gages, and they obviously need excitation to work, so that I have to turn the SCXI-1000 on.

The problem is that I have two programs developed in Labview: one designed to receive signals from the Valydines through the 1302 chassis, and the other one designed to receive data from the strain gages through the 1321 chassis. (both work fine independently).

I start
to receive the data from the Validynes and when I start the strain gage program with the SCXI-1000 set on, I stop to receive data from the Valydines and just receive data from the strain gages modules. (it seems the channels are taken just to the strain gage module).

I need to receive both signals, each in its corresponding program, at the same time. What can I do to solve this?

Thank you,
Junqueira

If I understand the basics of your problem, you have 2 labview programs/VIs needing to run at the same time. Look at multi-threading configurations (Labview 6i) in your Labview Help, also look at the following link on simultaneous parallel executions.
Good Luck, Doug

So you have an SCXI-1000 chassis, and an 1121 amplifier module with a 1321 terminal block. You also have an 1180 feedthrough module with a 1302 attached. The 1180 is plugged into the 1349 adapter on the 1121.

If this is right, then you will need to check the user manual for the 1121 to see which pins on the 50 pin MIO connector it drives. As long as you don't use those pins on the 1302, it won't be affected by the 1121s power. If you do use any of the same pins, then you can not use both modules at the same time.
