Daq assistant programmation

Solved!

Bonjour/Hi, (english and french answers accpet!)

Merci d'avance.

(in english)

I present my problem. I am redoing a test bench managed via labview. The test bench sends back 5 different signals, 2 voltages corresponding to displacements, 2 voltages corresponding to efforts, and a measured voltage. The goal is to obtain an XY curve Effort/displacement or Effort/Voltage. I succeeded in making the front panel but I block with the parameter setting of the DAQ assistant, indeed I manage to put the various inputs etc... But my DAQ makes me acquire the 5 voltages at once, and I would like to be able to program the choice of acquisition according to a button in front panel. Is there a solution to my problem? Thanks in advance.

Hi Murphy,

simple solution: don't use the daq assistant! Use plain DAQmx functions instead...

Bonjour, Murphy.

Do you have some experience with LabVIEW?  Have you taken a Class, spent time with Tutorials, and written a bunch of VIs?  Have you ever worked with a LabVIEW Project (perhaps by opening LabVIEW and choosing "Create New Project" on the opening Splash Screen)?

If the answer(s) to the above is largely "No", then get a little experience with LabVIEW, especially the basic Functions on the Block Diagram.  Then follow GerdW's excellent advice, but only after you look up (on the Web) "Learn 10 Functions in NI DAQmx and Handle 80% of your Data Acquisition Applications" (I think that's close to the correct title ...).

If you need more help or suggestions, you should attach your Project/VIs (the actual code, not Pictures, please).

Hi, so first thanks again for your help. Now i have succeed to acquire different signal with my labview program, but only in RSE configuration. Now i need to do it in a Differential mode but when i try to change parameters in my program, that doesn't work anymore. The problem is not the physical wiring on my USB 6008. I think it's come from the physical channel i use, but i don't know if in differential, i need to declare both channel for one signal(for example AI0/AI4 who are "link") or if it's something else. Important things you need to know, i need to acuire 2 signals in the same time and and separate them in order to apply coefficients on them.

I am attaching my labview program if you to check it. If you have any idea how can i save space on my program i am interested too.  I can't send my whole project due to the limit of attachments allowed.

Thanks again

General advice: when you want to attach more than two files you should put them into a ZIP archive!

That's just one upload for you and just one download for us…

General advice: when you are asked to attach a ZIP file you should NOT attach a RAR file…

Background: ZIP files can be handled by Windows directly, but you need a proprietary software to handle RAR files!
