Daq Assistant

I am using a cDaq 9178 chassis with one NI-9205 and 6 NI-9481. When I try to use the DAQ Assistant I can communicate with the 9205 but it locks LabView up when I try to create a digital output for any of the 9481's. Any idea what is causing this problem?

my best guess would be a driver incompatability.  Are you using the latest DAQmx and RIO?

No, just DAQmx.

OK, Which version of DAQmx are you using?  (You can find it in MAX under Software)

The latest is 9.5.1. you can download it here  DAQmx 5.1 predates the hardware you are using so of course it does not have support for that device.

Im just a bit concerned that your system is that out of date.  Check the compatability matrix for the LabVIEW version you are using.
