DMM - Error to recognize

Hello,

I have a problem with the recognize of my DMM (DMM USB 4065). I have installed the LabView version 8.6 and the DMM 2.9.

What can I do to resolve this problem?

Regards,

Daniel Carvalho

I am assuming, you have tried looking in MAX and also the DMM Soft Front Panel.

Please post any error messages you see as well.

Hi Daniel,

First thank you for using NI discussion forums.

How do you see that your DMM USB board is not recognize?
Does it appear in the device manager?
Is there a yellow question-mark or a NI icon beside your DMM USB card in the device manager?

Perhaps can you also install DAQmx driver (8.7.2 or later) in order to get Measurment&Automation Explorer (MAX) and see all NI devices which are recognized on your PC.

Hi Audrey,

It appears "DMM Loader". When i start the NI PXI 4065, give me an error of DMM not recognized.

Yes it appears in the device manager like a PXI DMM (it must be a USB) and appears a yellow question-mark beside my DMM USB .

I will try install this DAQmx Driver 8.7.2).

Hi Daniel,

the yellow question mark indicates that dirver is not found. Are your sure that your operating system is supported by the NI-DMM 2.9 driver? (NI-DMM 2.9 supports only Windows Vista/XP/2000).

The NI-DMM 2.9 Readme indicates that the following software are installed as part of the NI–DMM installation :

  • NI SignalExpress
  • NI IVI Compliance Package
  • NI-DAQmx
  • Traditional NI-DAQ
  • NI-VISA

Perhaps should you repear or remove/reinstall all these NI-drivers.
