Hello, Im currently working on a university project using NI hardware. At the moment i need to control the speed of a DC motor but im having some trouble getting started.
Im using Labview Version 9 on a windows 7 PC. I have a Compact Rio and a NI-9505 motor driver module.
I've searched the forums and it seems that PWM is a viable option, i've also come across LabView SoftMotionbut I am unsure as to what it can do.
My question is can SoftMotion be used to easily control the speed of a DC motor attached to the NI-950, and if so can someone please point me in the right direction of some examples.
