DAQmx and Labview 8.5

I´m a beginner with the Labview programe. I´m installing the Labview 8.5 with a DAQmx for 8.0.

When open the input functions, the DAQ assistant doesn´t appear, so the labview 8.5 doesn´t recognize the DAQmx . It worked good when I had installated the Labview 7.0 and the same DAQmx. Anybody knows if this instruments are compatible?

Why are you installing a down-level version of DAQmx? Why aren't you installing the version of DAQmx that came with 8.5? That's version 8.6 I believe.

Hi Jonssc,

to me it sounds, that you have installed LabVIEW after the Driver or the installation is bad.
So I would also recommend to install the newest version of NI-DAQmx, which you can find here:
http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/833/lang/en

This should resolve the problem,
