DAQmx Task Recovery

Solved!
Go to solution

Due to failed hard drive I need to migrate un-exported DAQmx tasks from one computer to another. Due to the same issue with hard drive I cannot open DAQmx and export these tasks - windows based system is down.

Does anyone know where DAQmx keeps its tasks? What files does it use to store the tasks by default?

I can recreate them on the new computer. I just need to know what they are, what cards and IOs they use.

Hello arhangel123.

I believe the information you're looking for can be found in this KnowledgeBase article:

KnowledgeBase 4GA9TOQA: What is the Process For Resetting the MAX Database?

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/2C7480E856987FFF862573AE005AB0D9

The latter part of the document is written to step you through manually deleting the database - don't actually.follow the procedure outlined there, but it does identify the relevant files/folders which I think is what you're looking for.

Best Regards,

Tom L.
