DAQ triggering

Dear All,

I am using NI USB 6009 and want to collect data by triggering the DAQ only at Rising edge of my digital input .  I can collect the data at the Rising edge of the triggering input but the program still collects more samples even if the triggering input is not active . I need only at the time of  rising edge of my triggering dgital input . Is there any solution for my problem?

Dear bstart21,

it looks like you want to perform retriggerdable acquisition. This isn't possible with the USB 6008/6009 since two counters are needed. The only way to arrange this with the 6009 is to acquirer your trigger channel as well and based on this information save or show your sample. Please refer to the following KB .
