DAQ assistant

Hi, Im having trouble finding the DAQ Assistant, it is not in my LabView software. I have read that you need to download the DAQmx, I downloaded version 9.1.1 because it is compatible with windows 7, but it doesn´t seem to work with Labview version 8.0.

I think I need to download the DAQmx again but I need to find a version compatible with Windows7 and Labview 8.0

I really don´t know which one to download since there are so many versions.

I would appreciate any help... Thanks!

The latest DAQmx version you can use with LV 8.0 is DAQmx 8.7.1 http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/840C53BDA6D3ED77862577610074DCEB

Your biggest problem is that I highly doubt that LV 8.0 can work on Windows7.  Win7 is too new compared to when LV8 came out.  Also, Win7 wasn't out when DAQmx 8.7.1 was out, it can only go up to Vista.

You can try LV8 DAQmx8.7.1 on Win 7, but it is unlikely it will work.

That leaves you two choices,

1.  Go back to Vista or older for your OS.

2.  Upgrade your LV to the latest edition.

That changes things quite a bit.  Now you can use DAQmx 9.1.1.

But I still doubt you'll be able to get LV 8.2 to work on Win7.

Problem solved, version 9.0 of DAQmx seems to work just fine with windows 7 and version 8.2.1 of LabView.

Version 9.1.1 doesn´t support Labview 8.2.1 as you said.

Thanks for your help!
