Custom knob that displays operating range

I have created a knob indicator for a pan/tilt controller. It has two needles. One indicates the current position of the pan and the other the position the unit has been commanded to slew to. In addition, I would like to set pan limits which would display on the indicator as a colored band between the start and end limit. The range can include zero - that is, a legal range could be from 320 degrees to 15 degrees. Any ideas on how to proceed?

What you're looking for can definitely be achieved using the built-in color scale and MarkerVals[] property- you'll just need to track whether or not your valid range crosses 360 degrees and update the ranges as appropriate.
