Custom MNU Files

I've just completed a set of Hardware drivers for distribution and
thought it would be nice to have a submenu in the Functions pallette. I
know how to set this up manually, but is there a way to create a MNU
file as part of the dist package and link to that? (I want a custom
icon etc)
Thanks

You've got several options. The easiest is to install the llb and/or
mnu files inside of one of the auto-updating menus that already exist.
For example, any LLB or folder placed into instr.lib or user.lib will
automatically show up in the palettes in the instrument palette or the
user palette.

If you want your item added to the top-level of the menu, then install
into the addons directory, creating it if you need to. This type of
installation must have a mnu file, not just
an llb, but will allow for
items to show up at the bottom of the palette.

To get them to show up at other places in the palette does require
either installing a new customized palette set or getting the user
to change it, moving the item about in the palette.

Thanks Greg,
I'll try installing it in the user.lib directory
