Custom Controls

Hi,

I'm newbie in the labview world.

I'm developping an A/C panel and I have two questions about the control customizations.

1- I try to customize a rotator button.

If I have understood I must used the command panel to attribute a new rotator background.

Next I want to customize the pointer of the rotator. I succeeded to change the the pointer but it doesn't operate correctly.

2- I would create a pushbutton (P/B) with a custom label.

This P/B has:

 - One input to control the label.

 - One output to know the status of the P/B.

To display the label I use an indicator. But this label is above the P/B so I cannot click on it.

I would like to know if you have solutions to solve my problem.

Hi gaztean,

What you´re lookin for is not a "rotatory button" but a Knob, which returns a numeric value. This should make the customization part easier. There are pretty good tutorials if you do a youtube search for "Customizing LabVIEW Controls". Video is the best way to expplain this so I highly recomend you to take a look at the vids. I´m also adding a quick made example if you want to use it as a template. I hope this info is useful.
