Crio File System and Deployment

I have an old Crio-9014 Chasis on which a code is present which was deployed long time ago. However, the code is crucial to an existing system. We do not have the source code for the project, however, we wish to use the chassis to test some new code without losing the existing code.

Is it possible to extract the code inside the crio? if yes, how?

Since, we do not have the source code, in case I am able to retrieve the files how do I deploy it back to the crio?

Additional we have also forgotten the crio password, how can we reset the crio password?

It is not possible. Code deployed is compiled binary and does not contain any source code.

You can use Archived: Archive of the Real-Time Application Deployment (RTAD) Utility, but it only applies to the same cRIO model.

See Restore NI Phar Lap and VxWorks RT Target to Factory Default Configuration. Note that this will wipe out all existing files and program on the cRIO.
