Corrupt VI

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi all, I tried to open my VI and i received this error message.Capture.PNG

I worked on the VI all day yesterday and have done for the past few weeks. when I closed the program I got a message saying "cannot load Help Information..." and then when I tried to reopen the VI I was greeted with the error message above. The corrupted file is attached below. The fie was about 300kb and since its been corrupted its now only 2 kb. I haven't changed any code or moved any files I simply ran the program and now its corrupted. Any help as to what happened or how to fix this would be greatly appreciated!

YAHOOOEY!!!  Someone who actually had a backup to restore from.  Wearing a safety harness BEFORE you crash is always the best approach.  🙂  Most people who come here to lament about a corrupt VI usually didn't have the foresight to make backup copies and/or commit them to a repository.

Good for you!
