John,
The best way to find out what you have installed is to go Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel of Windows and go to National Instruments folder. In there, you should be able to see what you have installed and which version it is installed. The version of LabVIEW and the toolkits are important since they could be version sensitive.
For example, you can't use the Simulation Module 2.0 with LabVIEW 8.20. If you try to install, it will not show correctly and it won't work.
So, the best is for your to determine what you have installed right now (with all versions) and, based on that, we can better help you to fix this problem.
Hope this helps!
