Connecting to ASAM ODS database from LabVIEW

A few versions back LabVIEW (2009 maybe), there were shipping examples for ASAM-ODS communication from LabVIEW (I think it was a library called ASAM-ODS Example.llb). I found this picture in an old Application Noteof one such example.

But I cannot find them in later versions of LabVIEW that I have (2012-2014). Is it still possible to connect to an ODS Database using a Connection String? I looked at all the Data Storage VIs, and could not find any "Open Datastorage" VI that can use a connection string. I have AOP5 plug-in installed and I am able to access the ASAM-ODS database from DIAdem but would like to be able to communicate with it from LabVIEW. 

If anyone has an example, could you please post it here? I am attaching an Application Note (Tutorial) that I dowloaded from NI.com in 2011 from where I got the above example. I could not find this Application Note anymore at NI.COM, so makes me think that it is not possible to do this anymore?
