Config File Vi's

Hi, just thought I ask about the config file vi's. It seems NI forgot
to finish them off. They have both sides needed for handling the
config files except Create Section or Key. They have a Remove
Section and Key vi's but not the other end. Is there a reason why
you might do this?

Regards,

I don't see the need of a create key or section, as long as
everytime you want to add some data to the config file, if
the key or section you select is created if doesen't
exist. The remove key and section is another thing, because
if you want some data completely removed instead of
changing it you need that option.
Best Regards

The need to add keys and sections is important and as the following section
from the online help shows, is supported.

"Writes a Boolean value associated with key in a specified section of the
configuration data identified by refnum. If key exists, the VI replaces the
existing value. If key does not exist, the VI adds the key/value pair to
the end of the specified section. If section does not exist, the VI adds
section, with the key/value pair, to the end of the configuration data."

I don't think that sentence is saying that there's a way to
create empty keys or sections, in my opinion, it's saying
that everytime you want to introduce a boolean in a key,
the VI checks for the section and key input of the VI and
compares them with the section and keys in the config file,
if that section or key don't exist, the VI will create
them. BTW what do you need an empty section or key for?
