Hi Brian,

Sorry its still saying it 7.1

You need to use the save with option. you will see an option to save to the previous version on the dialog, see attached

Sorry forgot to say this is the save with options dialog you get with Version 7.0. For Version 7.1, you should see a version 7.0 option.

Brian,

The problem is the TKTDS Start-Stop Acqui.VI.

You need to drop this one and I think you need to send the command string "ACQ:STOPAfter SEQ". after this the scope will be waiting for the trigger to occur.

I will confirm command string setting tomorrow, as I have used this before for single shot measurements.

Ok, Sounds great. How do you send a command string, I have never done that before?

Thanks again for you help,

Brian

Hi Brian,

You use the basic Visa Write function, as you see if you open up any of the TDS5XX instrument driver VI's

Hi,

Sorry for the delay.

The "ACQ:STOPAfter SEQ" is done as part of the setup in TKTDS Config Acquisition.vi by setting the operation mode to Single Sequence.

This is where I am winging here as the scope I'm using has a slightly different program set.

Set up you Trigger for an External source
Set up your Measurement Type.

You would then set ACQUIRE:STATE ON (you dont want to use that TKTDS Start-Stop Acqui.vi as this will just hang around waiting for you to complete or timeout)

After applying the trigger.

Check the status of the acquisition, you can use ACQUIRE:STATE? which would return 0 if its stopped. Then Perform the Measurement.

In the User Manual there is a section on performing different synchronisation to obtain a reading which maybe of help.
