Hello,

Let try first define the problem - as I could understand you made a compass rose in windows, but it does not work on simulated device. Am I correct? and if I am correct, can you please tell me which device are you simulating?

When you say "it doesnt work," do you mean it is failing? Are you getting any errors? Is LabVIEW even running? Does the VI just lose functionality?

marinearab,

I've installed a virtual machine to run Windows CE to try to recreate your issue. Can you please post your VI?

Unfortunately, some image VI's arent supported in CE, but we may be able to find a work around.

Hello,

Unfortunately I found out that windows CE does not support custom controls, as described on this page:

http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/372507C-01/lvtpcgsm/tpc_unsupported_controls/

But there is a workaround - you can save custom gauge without arrow as an image, put a picture control on the front panel, upload your picture of gauge on the picture control and then you can draw lines to make an arrow on the gauge picture. There is an example in example finder called Load Image From File - Windows Mobile.lvproj. This example shows how can you upload picture and draw some text on the picture - you can replace Draw Text at Point.vi with Draw Line.vi of Draw Multiple Lines.vi in the Picture Functions palette to draw the arrow. Downside of this workaround is that the arrow is not as nice as it would be with custom control, and the implementation is not easy.

I also tried those methods to have proper gauge:

 - I was looking for a programmatic arrow, and then put image of the gauge as background - I tried to put thin line on tab control and then programmatically change the size of tab control - but this property it is not available for windows CE

 - I tried to flip the gauge, then put normal gauge on one tab and flipped one on the other one, so I could change between the tabs when arrow come to limitation of normal one, but have not find an option to flip the gauge

If you will have any questions about implementation of workaround fell free to ask.
