IMO LV NXG is just too unfinished for me to attempt even a moderately complex application, so I haven't tried anything like that. I started a project and barely scratched the surface and I realized it just wasn't going to work out. Too many things that are automatically handled in LV Classic that you have to do manually in LV NXG. Too many features either missing - or deliberately left out - too move forward. I did like the general feel of it, though. There's just some missing things (Wires no longer carry properties? Well there goes half of my application, and most of OpenG's library.)
