Congrats on concurring the debug beast!! I don't know why the hard time with importing the .iak file happened, but you should do this after every change in MAX. Here is create article on the differences between the two iak files (MAX and Project) and the links in the article take you to how-tos. Sorry for the hassle but I am glad that it is over 🙂

NI says:"Now if you create a new project and add the FieldPoint target to it by adding a new target or importing a configuration file, a new .iak file is created that shares the same name as the project. Let's call this project LabVIEW.lvproj which means the .iak file will be named LabVIEW.iak. When a VI is run from the project or deployed to the target, the LabVIEW.iak file will overwrite whatever .iak file was loaded previously. As a result, the LabVIEW.iak settings are active on the FieldPoint controller."
I'm curious to know what would then happen if you manually overwrote the LabVIEW.iak with the MAX.iak... no need to play with fire at this point I suppose. 🙂
One other interesting point in a linked KB was that NI suggests to add both the MAX.iak *and* LabVIEW.iak file to the project??
Anyway, I'm glad to see that this is finally working - thanks for bearing w/me and hanging in there! While my above muddling isn't exactly a solution, I'll consider this solved!
Happy wiring,
Jamie
