Case and loop

Imagine... I have a loop were I perform a XY-graph continuously bu using shift registers. Now I would like to represent derivative of one channel (when selected by button) by analog triggering of that channel. it means that I need another configuration of AI CONFIG. My question is which where to put this option? inside a loop or case, inside my loop or outside my loop?

Based on current set-up of your vi, the first part of your question needs to be in a case structure to take care of your selection options. The second part of your question can be inside or outside your existing loop depending on what you want to get done. If it's inside your existing loop, it is most likely going to require it's own loop (unless it is a single scan operation) in this case you have to control how many times you want this inner loop to run. If it's outside then you two parallel loops running simultaneously. My suggestion will be that you try the two options and pick one that best suits your needs.
