Cannot activate Academic License

Trying to install on personal computer for school purposes. I was provided a Serial Number from my school. Activation Code was generated, and I received an email. I opened NI License Manager to Activate software, "there are no licenses on your machine that need to be activated". If I attempt to download the software: "Your account is not associated with an active subscription or service plan." I am unable to proceed, and apparently NI doesn't have customer support, which blows my mind. please help.
