Cannot Open VI on target with LV2009

So the only way to make this work is to either always run the target VI after a reboot or FTP over the target VIs in source form?  Yuck!  We prefer not to have to reboot the target when we restart the VI, and we're delivering this to a customer so we don't want to give out source code.  Why would NI remove the VI server ability when it worked fine before??

Hi,

I am getting the same error, and want to make sure I have this straight.

In LabVIEW 8.5 I wrote an app that FTPs a .zip file and a startUNZIP.rtexe.  It then starts startUNZIP.rtexe\Unzip File.vi through VI server, this file unzips the .zip file and starts a launcher vi inside of startup.rtexe, which was unzipped from the .zip file.

Are you saying I can no longer do this? It will not let me call startUNZIP.rtexe\Unzip File.vi through VI server. Me putting source code on the Real-Time is not on option.

What is a work around?

Thank you in advance for any suggestions,

Thanks,

Paul
