Hi - have a lv 8.6 proj using IMAQ and some 8.5 vision builder components. When I try to create installer, I get prompted to load the D:\distributions\Sound and Vibrations to complete the installer creation. Thing is , I do not own that nor do I use it. I may have created an installer for a previous project using some 3rd party VIs that could be the reason, but I have never installed that on this system so I am flummoxed. This error only occurs when I ask the installer to include IMAQ 4.3 in the additional installer tab. But, I need IMAQ - even if I install IMAQ on the target system, it can't find some IMAQ components.
1) Can I find the dependency and remove it?
2) Is there a reason why, if I do not include IMAQ in the build and install it independently, the code will return missing sub vi messages, all IMAQ related?
3) The previously used 3rd party VIs referenced Sound and Vibrations-errors.txt which is located on the system, but the installer builder is looking for a NI distribution file (.id).
4) It appears the previous build is screwing this up, not the current project
Any ideas? thx

Hi ET,
If it's only when you select IMAQ as an additional installer, then you should simply have to point it to an installer for IMAQ 4.3 when prompted. If you don't have the disks anymore, you can download an installer for it and use that instead.
Also, you can take a look at this KnowledgeBase to find a way of preventing this message in the future.

Hi Jareds,
I am experiencing exactly the same issue and I am not sure about what you mean when you say : "simply have to point it to an installer for IMAQ 4.3 when prompted". I have the Vision development module, August 2009 disk (the only one I needed to add to create my application) and it still asking me to locaate sound and vibration 2009.
Can you tell me where to download an installer and use it instead as you mentioned above?
It will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Cris.

Hi - I had to uninstall labview and vision and reinstall to get this to work.
