Can labview read .dat file?

thanx for the reply but i downloaded the biomedical kit but it dont seems to appear on my labview program. when i try to launch the biomedical workbench, it will give me the error saying "dat files under data folder parsed error" plz help! thanx >.<

Can you send the data file that you want to read.

the file cant be attached here it says "the file does not have a valid extension for an attachment but u can download the file in this link http://www.physionet.org/physiobank/database/mitdb/ under the signal tab. its a .dat file

I exactly don't know what type of data is in the file.

Probably you have to use the filter. As far as reading file is concerned I have attached screenshots Labview can read the file.

I have used hexadecimal display for file you may try to convert it in decimal.
