Can INI files be used to set the same control in another VI?

I am making a pop up VI that allows the user to intialize the settings for a user defined number of graphs and those graph settings are saved to an INI file. I want to use the graph settings that are saved in the INI file to set up the graphs in a different VI. So I was wondering if and how I could use the INI file to set the same controls but in a different VI? I am using Labview 7 Express, and my operating system is Windows XP.

yes you should be able to if everything was the same. you should be able to it the same way you are doing the other one.
