Can I pass Chinese characters in a queue (Do queues support Unicode)?

Yes, I realise my sample that I threw together in a few seconds generates arrays of strings. However, my application generates strings one at a time. That's why I didn't think the EOL conversion would make any difference.

Unicode in LabVIEW is a kludge. You might want to go to the idea exchange and vote for this idea if you have not already. I found this link in the comments for that thread that you might find useful.
