Can I hide the toolbar abort button using the Property Node whilst a VI is running?

Thanks Warren, I like that example. I think I'll incorporate it directly into my codes. Hopefully the concept of using a Stop button will propagate amongst the students once they see the message once or twice! Maybe I'll couple it with a siren sound too

I've also incorporated hiding of the Abort button at relevant moments, which works great. I'm going to adapt most of my codes to do this now!

In response to Henrik, there is a constant intake of new students here every year, and they invariably repeat the same mistakes as the previous lot. Hence, instead of training them every year, it will be easier for me to simply prevent them from cocking things up with safety measures such as this one

sorry for not being clear enough. 

Hiding, disabling or graying out Controls the user currently don't need (or shouldn't access) always helps you (r instruments) and the user.

I often spend more time in GUI flow than in process control. Hard enough that windows user are somehow used to the task manager

And I always hide the abort button in my field releases.

My ideal GUI would be the one and only 'Do what I expect' Button, however there are always more options / opinions and ideals are stars, unreachable but they give the direction
