Building Bluetooth program on LabVIEW

HI Les,

Not too busy I hope! Smiley Happy  I managed to get around the Bluetooth adapter problem and the Bluetooth Discover worked well. But when I tried to obtain the data from the data out point of the Bluetooth Read I was unable to get anything. When I run the VI, it works with no errors but when I probe at the data out point there was nothing. I was wondering if you have the time, can you check my Bluetooth Read VI just to see if I connected them correctly.

Thx!!!

Try wiring a constant for the "number of bytes" to read.  It is unwired, and the default is 0.  The simple Bluetooth client example shows 2 instances of Bluetooth read, the first reading 4 bytes to get the data size, and the second reading however many bytes were gotten from the data size.

Hi Zen,

I'm having a similar problem as you, i.e. NEW at bluetooth labview Smiley Very Happy I'm currently working on a school project which requires a bluetooth communication between my device to my PC.

I'm trying to create the bluetooth VI too. I'm just wanting to make sure, is it safe for me to create a bluetooth application VI using the example given (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/3260)?

My device is connected to a bluetooth module (http://www.rfsolutions.co.uk/acatalog/Toothpick_Bluetooth_Module.html) It will take the signals from the circuit so it could transmit wirelessly to my PC. I've not tried creating any VI yet because i'm still uncertain of it.

regards, aisyah
