Boolean image distortion (Bug?!) LV2012

Solved!
Go to solution

I just came accross something strange when I use the context menu option "Make typedef" on a cluster constant containing a Boolean with visble label.

First a VI snippet with the before, it can be used to replay the event "Make typedef" through the context menu.

Cluster with Boolean with visible label make typedef distorts Boolean image.png

Then the result:

Cluster with Boolean with visible label make typedef distorts Boolean image_result.png

The size of the resulting Boolean image depends on the length of the label, the longer the label to larger the image (stays square).

Hello André,

Thanks for posting your question.

I tried to reproduce the behaviour. I was not able to reproduce.

My version of Labview is Labview 2011SP1.

What is your Labview version?

Eventual, its solved in a newer version of Labview.

I can confirm the OP's results. I am using LabVIEW 2012 with the 0f1 patch.   As mentioned, when you turn the label off, the issue disappears.

Well, I can reproduce the behaviour. I saw that we have a CAR (Corrective Action Request) allready, so our R&D department knows about it.

At the moment we do not have a workaround or solution so far.

The issue also disappears when you select "Apply Changes" in the control editor. (work-around #2, number #1 being use "Make Typedef" with the Boolean label invisible.)
