I just noticed that the LabView PDA module supports both the Widcomm and the Microsoft bluetooth stack from version 8.2 on. Unfortunately, on the PC side, LabView only supports the Microsoft bluetooth stack, but not the Widcomm stack. Is there any reason why the Widcomm stack is not supported? We have a HP notebook which came with an OEM windows XP installation which only has a Widcomm BT stack, the Microsoft stack (generic bluetooth radio) is not available on this notebook - no matter how hard we tried to install it. I think HP has a customized version of winXP which doesn't support the MS BT stack. This of course means that if we deploy this application, we will certainly have customers who complain.
Is there any chance that LabView will support the Widcomm BT stack in an upcoming version?
