Speaking of cameras...
I hooked up a SAC 7 ccd camera in labview last week, using the IMAQ USB camera drivers... then I attached an RGB Histogram to the image as well as using live feed edge detection from IMAQ Vision.
The end result? Even in near complete darkness the camera can produce clean images (thanks to the edge detect)... and in that same darkness using the live histogram you can tell what colors are what (even though the original image is complete black). This means that, truly, I can see you blush in the dark.
🙂
I attached some images of the edge detect of my Wawa coffee cup. Mmm, coffee.

Think NI would be interested in a multitouch sensor for an input
device?

Do you mean something on this order? : http://www.fingerworks.com/
I was about ready to order one of these programmable touch sensor keyboard/mouse devices and they up and went out of business. It's some really cool technology. I may be forced to go with something like this since I have already had carpal tunnel surgery on my right wrist a few years ago. Learned to use a mouse left-handed now, but I guess the typing alone is enough to aggravate the right wrist because it's getting worse again. I can't imagine what I'll do if the doc ever says that I better quit using computers too much. Anyway, I may look for one of these keyboards on eBay because I have to find something that won't aggravate my wrist as much. I'm open to suggestions on alternative input devices. I know all the proper ergo standards for workstation setups - that's not the problem (any more).

Hey, I setup the mouse control on my xbox controller with a large dead zone, I think it's around 20%, a slow mouse speed but with acceleration... once you get used to it, it works great.
