Basic Function Generator does not return current time stamp

The Basic Function Generator .VI file does not return the current time stamp.Instead it counts from 1904.

Is there a solution to this so that the basic function generator returns a current time stamp?

Other than changing the internal code, NO. The timestamp is relative to the start of generation. I see no reason to have absolute timestamps as you don't know when a sample was actually generated untill you've measured it on the ouput.

"Is there a solution to this" ...  yes, if you expand that to include "workarounds":

In this way the timestamp between generations is not continious.

Only do this for the first and for subsequent generations add the amount of time generated.
