Auto-Zero in MAX

I am wondering if someone can give me some detail as far as how the Auto Zero function works? I am collecting real time data through an SCXI 1001 and 1125/1102C modules.

Is this some type of feature available through the different modules? I cannot seem to select this for the 1102C

Also when does this zero itself out (if this is in fact what this is doing) My main concern is that someone else will start the program with the signal already on the module and it will take a data value and make it zero.

Any explination on how this feature works will be helpful. I cannot find any documenation on it anywhere.

Greetings,

To answer your first question, yes the auto-zero function is only available on certain SCXI modules.

The auto-zero takes place at the beginning of the scan.
As for what is actually taking place during an auto-zero, the input terminals of a differential
channel circuit are internally shorted, while the signal source is disconnected, to compensate for
voltage offset.

I hope this helps.
