Array problems

Hi,
i now have a loop voltage increment application, and i use VISA read to get the readings from my instrument, the power supply. I then build these strings into an array. However, this array does not refresh itself after each run of the application. How do i build an array such that it does not only store information from a previous loop cycle? Can i only store strings in array for certain index?
Thank you.

Hi adeline...
I saw your VI's & i have those Questions:
1. Do you mean the array that goes to the chart ? (The one that does not refresh)
2. Do you want to refrsh the chart each time u run the VI, so the chart will be empty ?
3. Why did you delete the CLR VI ?

Can u ask more specific Qeustions, now that i have your VI's ?

Waiting & wants to help...

Hi Bushman,
I tried using CLR VI and Flush VI to try separately, but i discover that the chart does not clear itself when i used them, so i deleted them. hence it leads me to think that the array also does not refresh itself.
P.S.: i thought the chart plot is based on the data it receives from the array? if the data from array changes, it will also changes, as in refresh? seems that this is a misconception?
Do you mean that it is possible to just let the chart refresh itself, but all the data store in an array? if that's the case, can the array differentiate the readings from different run? if so, that is what i am asking, as in, i want the chart to refresh, based on the data from different run, yet i can also have the numeric data st
ored somewhere else, like a text file.
Thanks for yr help.

All My Remarks are at VI Block Diagram. Read them.

Good Luck....

Hope it Helps.
