Application builder -> stand-alone programs?

Is it possible to compile a LabVIEW VI to a pure stand-alone program? I am using LV6i and it seems that the applications created by the application builder these days need the run-time version of LabVIEW to run. Is there a way to create a LabVIEW installer that installs my LabVIEW program AND the run-time version of LabVIEW at the same time? Any ideas?

The answer is yes, you can create a LabVIEW installer that automatically installs LabVIEW and the run-time engine. In LabVIEW 6i, select the "Installer Settings" tab. The click on the "Advanced" button near the bottom.

You can specify if you want to install the LabVIEW Run-Time engine.

Thus, when you distribute the application, they would have to run the installer, which will prompt them to install the run-time engine and your application.

I hope that helps. Regards,

I'm not sure how it is done in LabVIEW 5.0 but it's the same with LabVIEW 5.1.1. What tabs do you have for your app builder? Do you even have an option for "Installer" or something that allows you to automatically create an installation wizard sort of program?
