Application Builder V 8.0 woes

I wish I knew what hit me.

All I did was to try and create an installer for an EXE for the enclosed VI. ( created  with LV 7.1 )

After I tried to check the installation my woes began.

- After the installation was completed the exe never worked and said that DAQMX AI read VI was not found ???
- Every  time I try to launch LV7.1 and LV8.0 subsequently , I get a dialog which says that the  lvruntimeeng.msi  for LV7.1.1 is not to be found and asks me to locate it.

After all this I tired to create a simple EXE without invoking the installer option. I tried to run the creayed EXE and  I get a message which says that " LV 7.1 run time engine not found "

Can someone help me and tell what is wrong with the Application Builder.  I have wasted lots of time reading the user guide and other application  documents and still cannot figure out how to use this software.

Had the same issue.

In windows you should go to the remove/add software and repair your 7.1.1 rte, probably this will also give the name of the disk it is looking for!
