Any idea about how to do...

Hi, I have a set of commands I wonder how to do in LV. I dont know if anyone can help.
The goal is to find sigma here. (a,hbar,m and Eo are given ... and i'm looking for a numerical answer)
Here's the portion of commands i'd like to add in Lv (which is written in the Maple convention for now)

ge:=((a*m)^(1/4))/sqrt(hbar*sqrt(Eo*Pi*2)+hbar^2/sqrt(a*m))*exp(-a*m/hbar^2*(sqrt(E)-sqrt(Eo))^2):
fct:=ge^2:
integral:=int(fct,E=(Eo-sigma)..2*Eo-sigma):
final_answer:=fsolve(integral=0.97,sigma);

There is an analytical answer for "integral" which involve the error function. The main problem is that I need to find sigma and sigma is in the error function i.e. erf(sigma+...)

Thank you for any advice or comment!

You need to attach your images before we can see them.

I dont get why you would need an image. If you meant a copy of the VI i'm working on... I cant give you any because I did not start it yet. I dont even know how to start it... which is the purpose of this post!

Thank you for your rapidity thought! 🙂

Your post contains 8 images that are broken. I assumed they contain additional information crucial to the problem. 😄

Altenbach,
I don't see the broken images shown in the picture you posted.

That's because they point to images on your hard drive. None of us have access to it, unfortunately. (and that is probably a good thing!)

You are the only one that can see them.

Here is the html code of your post:

Ok.. I dont know how it happened but it wasnt on purpose. I can surely give you more info about the problem if you requiere any but I did not mean to add pictures with additionnal info. What so ever those pictures are from my crazy computer (or my crazy self) just forget about them!
Huge thank you guys eh!

I also do not see the "broken link" images. But that's because I'm using Firefox. When you view the thread in IE, the broken image icons appear.

I'm guessing those image links were a carryover from a copy and paste operation.

I just noticed that (I am also using Firefox).  I wonder why it doesn't show that there are image links that are inaccesible?
