Annotation Display Problem

Dear all,

I think i have found a bug in LabVIEW while trying to play around with the Annotation thing.

I am trying to change the name of the annotation dynamically when the user change some settings. the name of the annot does get changed, but it doesn't display it properly. it somethimes cuts out the edges of the text. however, when i go some other window and come back to the main window, it displays it properly.

i am attaching the pic of both the images. one with the edges cut off and another showing them properly.

I cannot understand completely, but see this if both are similar problems.

No, the problems aren't similar.

The link you provides is regarding the offset of the annotation, whereas my problem is regarding the edges of the name getting cropped.

Any possibility that the Windows settings for the display are set to use large fonts instead of normal fonts?  This would cause fonts to be enlarged and get cropped by the bounds of the label they are in.

No, Nothinglike that. The settings are set to default.

and i don't think its related to the font as the program only crops the name when i change them during run time. Now if i switch to some other window and come back to this Graph window, it displays them properly.

Perhaps Windows is just doing a redraw correctly on the front panel controls.

Try doing a defer front panel updates property node to true then false to see if it can force a redraw.

If possible post a simplified version of your VI that demonstrates the problem so we can see if we can duplicate it.
