I'm trying to install 2021 SP1 on Windows 10, and I'm repeatedly running into this error:
An error occurred while installing a package: ni-visa-shared-components (5.12.0.49152-0+f0)
Additional error information:
The executable returned error '1603' after running the custom execute command 'path='"C:\Users\rmann\AppData\Local\Temp\nipkg-46fb-4c30-1f66-962d\data\VisaSharedComponentsInstaller.exe"', arguments='VisaSharedComponents64.msi''.
I'm really not sure how to proceed. Any help is much apprecaited!

Installing LabVIEW can be difficult. I have been doing this for many years, and it hasn't gotten any easier. I usually tell students to "bring me your Laptop" ...
Here are some questions:

Did you fix this error? I have the same issue.

To: JetForMe, ValGirl, Sparsh1629,
I replied to the original message on this thread, asking for additional information in an effort to provide meaningful assistance. So far, none of you (who have the same or similar problem) have responded. I'll also note that the original Message (and my initial response) were March 14 and 15 of 2022 -- JetForMe has replied to the later requests from ValGirl and Sparsh1629, but other than those two replies, has been "inactive" on the Forum since 2022.
My recommendation for ValGirl and Sparsh1629 is to create a new Message, with a new Title, and include in your Post the information I requested more than 2 years ago. I think that this particular thread should otherwise be forgotten. I certainly won't be adding to it!

FWIW, Error 1603 can be caused by several common issues such as: Windows Installer is trying to install an application that is already installed. If you look inside NIPM, and show hidden packages in settings, and uncheck Products Only, what is the version of that package that is installed?
If NI has a later version of this package in it latest installer for VISA, you could try to install only the latest version of VISA, if that is OK for your projects you are developing on the said system.
If you already have that version or later installed, you might consider trying to uninstall it, but that might require uninstalling all products that depend on it, which can be a pain.
