Is there a way to get a list with all the active alarms on a remote system without listing them to a Read Alarms VI ?
The only way I know is the Alarm & Event Display VI but I do not know how to retireve the datas shown in the front panel table.
I have hundreds of shared variables and I would like to know what variables are in alarm condition and then use Read Alarms VI just to retireve detailed informations.
thank you

Hi Gianpiero
You can eventually use Enable Alarm & Event Notifications VI associated with an Event Structure, as in the example project for LabVIEW 8.0 here attached.
Hope this helps.

Dear Hudson,
I checked your solution in my application and found that is not working since uses the "Get Shared Varialbe list" VI.
The manual page for this VI says:
Get Shared Variable List (DSC Module)
Returns a list of all the shared variables associated with a given process in the Shared Variable Engine on the host computer.
I need to monitor Alarms on a remote system (server) not on the VI host (supervision client).
So the right question now should be : there is a way to list shared variables on a remote system ?
thank you

Hi Gianpiero,
I hope the Vis in the following location will help you.
C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 8.5\vi.lib\variable\tagger
