I have been given a serial code by my university for activating LabVIEW, however when I go to register the product in the "Register a product" section with this serial code it sends me to the activation code generation form, which when I fill out and submit, I just receive the message "We have encountered a technical problem. Please try again later or contact us for assistance." I tried to go to the service request manager, where the "Activate a product" suboption says that the serial code is no longer eligible for activation, and the "Request technical support" suboption said "We're sorry, we don't have a match for the number you entered, or a service contract is not associated with that serial number or system."
It seems that when I registered the product with the serial code it recognized it and brought me to the activation code generation form, but for some reason that form can't go through, and now it's stuck in some limbo to where it's not recognized by the technical support. I also checked with LabVIEW on my computer and when I try to check my account for licenses it just says no licenses associated with my account.
Is there something I'm missing or should the activation code generation form be going through as the final step and it's just not working right now?

Yes, you miss the very simple solution: go to your university and ask the person who gave you that serial code!
When you use a university/campus license then there is a responsible person to manage that license. That person will have to help you…
