Activation Issues

I am a student and recently purchased an NI Elvis II, I am confused on what software I need/can activate. I tried every serial number I could when I installed the software, and nothing worked. Here is what my license manager looks like. Thanks for the help. License Manager

You also need the appropriate drivers for your Hardware.  There are Elvis-II drivers that you should be able to download from NI, but I'm surprised that it is not included with the other Elvis software.  Do you have NI MAX installed?  This is the NI's Measurement & Automation Explorer -- an interactive program that knows how to "talk" with most NI Hardware (and I'm assuming that includes the Elvis II).  Do you have this icon on your desktop?  (Ignore the violet background of my desktop) (there may also be a "pencil" in the upper right-hand corner, not sure who put that there ...).

If you don't have the Elvis drivers, you should be able to download them from here.

Bob,  that pencil is only there when you are composing or editing the message.  Some overlay in the forum editor that will take you back to the dialog box you had when you inserted the picture.

For activation issues, you may want to just go ahead and call NI's tech support at 866-275-6964. They should be able to help you figure out which serial number you have will work for the software you are trying to install.
