2d U8 array derivation

we'd like to derivate 2d array of U8 data to get deformations from displacement maps...(array size about 1280*960)
any idea or code (LV 7.1 or less) to share ???

Dear,

We are also currently on the quest of making a strain map out from our displacement map. We have read from an article that subtraction of neighboring displacements will give you the strain field data. However, we still haven't done it yet. Anyways, I would just like to ask if you have successfully generated a strain map. Please reply to this post.
