Scroll Select NXT code

Hi Folks,

We have been hard at work creating NXT code in the Lego Mindstorms NXT-G environment.

We would like to select portions of our code to create "myblocks", but are unable to select code that is off screen.

Unlike LabVIEW, the selecting box does not scroll the code when the mouse approaches the edge of the screen.

Anybody know how to select code that is larger than one screen?

Hi, Bill. Yes, we know that is an issue and are working on it.  We have things working such that drag-scrolling (scroll visible area while dragging a block from palettes and while moving a block already dropped), but have not tackled this one yet.  Luckily, what you can do is hold down shift and click on each block to add it to the selection.  So, drag a selection rectangle to select whatever you want on the screen, then use the arrows (or map) to move the screen and then shift-click on the blocks.  I know this is tedious, but it's the only option for now.

Thanks J!

We tried shift-click, alt-click, and ctrl-click, but it didn't appear to work... Perhaps during our rapid search for the magic key combination we flew over the answer and didn't notice that it worked. We will definitely use this during class on Monday.

Thanks!
