clearing matlab data

I am having a problem running matlab scripts in Labview 7.1. The program only gives the correct result the first time I run it then gives a wrong results the next time with only very slight changes like adding outputs which I know wont affect the program as a whole. I tried to run the script in Matlab and it works well. Can anyone help me how to clear the previous data? Is a limitation of matlab script in labview? Thanks
